Nope, all the great photographers are dying away, just as is the wonderful industry in which they worked and once prospered.
Another of those greats, the late Peter Lindbergh, featured in an interview a short while before his death: his comments on both the state of the business and the new guys was pretty damning, and when asked about his own future he indicated he was moving on to other grounds… it’s all about the money, greed and the dumbing down of expectations from the public – the consumers. But hey, if you are young, never saw what the pages of the old Vogue magazines, for example, used to offer, you’d never know.
